ABOUT ME
I love photography
I guess the first thing I should say is that photography is something I do for pleasure rather than a business. Born in the 1960’s with a far from glittering school career
I initially wanted to to be come an architect. However, it soon dawned on me that if I were to study architecture that would be another seven years in education - a thought
that horrified me at the time.
Like so many I left education to start work with no idea of what I wanted to do or any real ambitions. So naturally I joined the civil service Her Majesty’s Inspector of Taxes
no less. I can hear the boos and hisses !
From HMIT I moved in to the food industry and then in to IT - a programmer no less… OK the boos and hisses are getting a little annoying now !

Programming back in the day, the late 1980’s - late 1990’s was both creative and challenging. You could create something tangible that, if done well, made life easier and more
productive for the client. Challenging because what we had to work with was small almost pocket calculator in terms of its computing power often with storage capacity of less
than would be used for one or two digital photographs today. However, these were the systems that ran the businesses of the world at that time.
As time went by my career progressed an I ended up on the board of a large organisation and all the creativity was lost. This was when I rediscovered my love of photography,
something I had enjoyed as a teenager along with my love of music and motorsport. I have been fortunate enough to have been able to photograph many concerts of musicians I love.
Anyway I can tell you’re getting bored now so why not have a look at the small sample of, deliberately, random images below.
